Bengali Directors Srijit Mukherjee, Kaushik Ganguly Receive National Film Awards Bengali film directors Srijit Mukherji and Kaushik Ganguly on Monday received National Awards in different categories for their films 'Gumnaami' and 'Jyesthoputro' respectively from Vice-President Venkaiah Naidu. While Ganguly received the award at the Rastrapati Bhavan in the Best Screenplay (Original) and Best Background Music categories for 'Jyeshthoputro', Mukherjee got it for 'Gumnaami' in the Best Screenplay (Adapted) and the Best Bengali film categories.
